2 days down...5.5 weeks to go!
Many seniors had an early morning as The Gamemaker (Don Lui) dropped the first challenge at 3:27 am. Apparently, the Class of 2019 is like New York, it never sleeps. We got our first 15 submissions in less than an hour. Candidates were tasked to beatboxing over the Apple marimba ringtone and send in one video. Hear that Danielle Jung? One video, not 5. Watch the video linked below for our favorites of the submissions. Note that these are not the winners, this was a timed daily challenge (fastest submissions win).

The second daily challenge of the day tasked the candidates with convincingly onto a dolphin. The utter lack of effort put into this challenge by most people was wonderful, although we did get some truly hilarious/terrifying submissions. (Check them out below)
The last and final (maybe?) challenge of the day was the how many layers fit on a Lynbrook student challenge. The twist however was that a parent had to be watching you put on the every single layer. This was so that they can wonder what wrongs they had committed to be forced to watch their child do such a thing instead of studying. Sadly, people don't seem to know how to follow directions. Has Lynbrook taught us nothing?
I will be starting a new section for immunity day called Story Time. Please enjoy.
Our first story is the tale of three amigos, Arjun, Ian and Hansen, we'll call them the Migos. This is a story of friendship, camaraderie and the utter brutality of this game. At lunchtime, a truce was made between the Migos as they stacked their phones, promising not to take pictures of each other as they took off their immunities. You might be thinking that this is a beautiful and touching gesture and that it has restored your faith in humanity. However, when lunch ended, Hansen and Ian proceeded to open all of the doors in Arjun's car as they exited the car, baiting Arjun to step out and try to close it. Trust no one my friends.
The second story is the tragedy of Manoj Soundararajan. After the end of 5th period, he went after Amol Singh in hot pursuit, trying to get a picture of him without his immunity on him. Sadly, the moment he stepped out of the class, he was caught (without his towel on his shoulder or his glasses on his face) by Shruti Ranade. According to Manoj, he was "sniped".
Happy Heisting,
